What's new

Every change to the shop, in plain language.

The same changes written for people who run the shop rather than build it. For commits, file paths and migration notes, read the technical changelog.

September 2026

The admin sign-in page is ours now

The page you log into no longer says "Welcome to Medusa" with the Medusa logo. It shows the AUTOXSPARE wordmark and is always in light mode, so the black logo stays readable no matter how your computer is set.

Nothing about signing in changed — same address, same email, same password.

Payments are live

Curlec is switched to live keys. Real customers can pay by FPX online banking or card, and the money settles to the shop's account. Card details never touch our system; Curlec handles that end.

Test mode still exists for practice, and the admin home page shows a LIVE or TEST badge so you can always tell which one is on.

Nobody has completed a real payment through FPX yet. The first live order is worth watching closely, ideally a small one you make yourself.

Ringgit only

The shop used to also list Euro and US Dollar, left over from the original setup. Those are gone. Prices can now only be entered in Ringgit, which removes the chance of saving a price that quietly never applies.

Finding parts by vehicle

Customers can pick their brand, model, engine and year and see only parts that fit. The choice is remembered as they browse, so it carries across pages.

If a vehicle is chosen and nothing in a category fits it, the page no longer comes up empty — it shows everything in that category with a note explaining the vehicle filter was set aside.

Search that suggests as you type

The search box offers matching products while you type, rather than requiring you to finish and press enter.

Pre-order labelling makes sense again

Previously a product could show "Pre-order" and "Buy it now" side by side, which contradicted itself. Now a pre-order item says Pre-order on the button and hides the buy-now shortcut.

Availability is a yes/no label, not a stock count. The shop does not know how many of anything is left and cannot stop an item being oversold. Keep checking stock the way you do today.

Delivery

Shipping is set up for a warehouse in Jitra, Kedah, delivering anywhere in Malaysia. The EasyParcel connection is built but not switched on yet — it needs an API key from your EasyParcel account. Until then the shop uses a flat shipping option.

August 2026

Moved off Shopify

Products, variants and images were brought across from the old Shopify shop, including which items were in stock and which were pre-order. Weights were imported for 4,404 variants so courier pricing can be calculated.

The shop got its own look

The storefront was rebuilt around finding the right part rather than browsing a catalogue: a vehicle picker on the front page, a rebuilt product page, filters that stay put while you scroll, and searchable dropdowns everywhere a long list appears.

Known gaps

Things that are genuinely not finished, so nobody is surprised by them:
