Orders
From a customer paying to a parcel going out.
Orders appear under Orders in the sidebar, newest first.
What happens when someone buys
- The customer picks a delivery option and pays.
- The payment is confirmed by Curlec, and the order appears in the admin.
- You pack it and mark it fulfilled.
- The customer gets a confirmation at each step.
An order only reaches the list once payment is confirmed. Someone who abandons the payment screen never becomes an order.
Working an order
Open it, and you get the customer's details, what they bought, what they paid, and the delivery address.
Check the address before packing. Malaysian addresses are often entered loosely, and a missing postcode costs a redelivery.
To send it: Fulfill on the order, confirm the items, and mark it shipped. Add a tracking number if you have one — it appears in the customer's confirmation and stops the "where is my order" messages.
Cancelling
Cancelling refunds the customer automatically: whatever they paid and have not already been refunded goes back to them through Curlec, and they get a cancellation email. Do not refund again afterwards, here or in Curlec.
If the automatic refund fails, the order is still cancelled and the shop's alert email gets a message saying so. Refund it from the order's Payment section. See Payments.
To refund part of an order without cancelling it, use Refund on the order instead.
Drafts
Orders → Drafts creates an order by hand, for a customer who phones or walks in. Useful for a quote you want to keep, or for taking payment another way.
Return requests and fitment answers
Return requests appear on the order in the admin. A retry with the same reason reuses the existing request. If email fails, the saved request is still visible here; reply to the customer directly. Nothing is automatically restocked or refunded.
A fitment answer counts once per order item, including after retries. The product count is authoritative; a failed order annotation is repaired on the next retry.
