Adding parts, prices, photos, and marking what fits which car.

Products live under Products in the admin sidebar.

Adding a part

  1. Products → Create.
  2. Fill in the title and description. The title is what customers search, so write it the way a customer would say it, not the way the invoice does.
  3. Add at least one photo.
  4. Set a price. Ringgit is the only currency — there is nothing else to pick.
  5. Set a weight on each variant. Without it, delivery cannot be priced.
  6. Save.

Which car does it fit

This is what makes the shop useful, and it is the part most easily forgotten.

Parts are matched to vehicles with tags — brand, model, engine and year. A customer who picks their car sees only parts tagged for it. An untagged part is invisible to anyone using the vehicle picker.

Match the spelling of tags that already exist rather than inventing a variation. Vios NCP93 and vios ncp 93 are two different tags to the shop, and a part tagged with the second will not show for a customer who picked the first.

Available or pre-order

Each product carries an availability marker that decides what customers see:

MarkedButton says
AvailableAdd to cart
Not availablePre-order

This is a label, not a count. Marking something available does not reserve anything, and the shop will keep taking orders after the last one is gone.

Photos

The main photo shown in listings is stored separately from the photo gallery. Replacing gallery images does not change the listing thumbnail — set it explicitly, or the old picture stays.

Prices

Prices are Ringgit and include nothing hidden — no tax is added at checkout. If you need a sale price, use Price Lists rather than editing the product price, so the original comes back on its own when the sale ends.
