Open Shipping in the admin to see the EasyParcel grant, available rates and recent parcels. To connect or renew, choose Connect or renew EasyParcel and complete approval in the same browser while signed in to the admin.
Checkout uses live courier rates when available and fallback rates when the provider cannot quote. A fallback is an estimate: confirm the parcel cost before booking. The courier stored for booking comes from the selected shipping option.
EasyParcel uses pre-funded credit. Check the wallet before busy periods and verify that a booking has a tracking number/label before handing over the parcel. Production connectivity was not rechecked during the September 6 code audit.
Weights matter
Courier pricing is by weight, so a missing or wrong weight means a wrong price. Two known problems in the current catalogue:
- 41 variants have no weight at all
- 6 look wrong by a decimal place — including an alternator recorded at 290 kg, which needs physical verification
Both are worth fixing before live rates are switched on, because an alternator at 290 kg will quote an absurd delivery price and lose the sale.
Packing
Note anything fragile on the order before handing it over. The shop does not pass a fragile flag to the courier, so it has to be handled physically.
